Fan fiction from someone who writes too many words because he reads them out loud and finds his own voice to be mellifluous.

tl;dr: if people think things will get more expensive they buy things before prices go up. This causes a demand spike, which causes prices to go up. Then people buy more things all of a sudden there's no things and the economy collapses and the author will finally be able to bust his nut on the newspaper headlines.

Ridiculous.
