Crimea wasn't even a part of Ukraine until 1954. The Soviet government collapsed 37 years later in December 1991.

Why stop at Crimea? Just annex every land/country that a Russian stepped foot on, like Alaska.

And then you wonder why European countries joined NATO. Russia would invent any excuse to invade them if the military umbrella didn't exist.

Alaska isn't overwhelmingly populated by Russians, so it's not really the same as Crimea is it?

They both belong to another sovereign country. Don't like Ukraine? Then move to Russia.

And considering they're literally next door, it's even more retarded why this needs a war that kills thousands of people. Now both sides get to live in rubble. Genius. /s

Russians aren't living in rubble lol.

You act like 'sovereign borders' are some sacred thing that can't be touched, but borders change all the time throughout history, sometimes justly, othertimes not.

I don't think it's fair to ask Crimeans to leave their own lands to move. They have a right to be ruled by Moscow as they have for centuries.

Russians aren't living in rubble lol.

So why are they scared of moving back? Russia is clearly paradise, and Ukraine is oppressing them?

You wouldn't say that if your house was being bombed right now. Since Russia is the aggressor, they deserve to be punished for attacking another nation.

And since they don't learn, then all that remains is the non-NATO countries (i.e Finland/Sweden) to hurry up and join the alliance.

So why hasn't Canada & the US invaded each other in the last 100 years?

It's called being civilized. Unless you're arguing Russia is stuck in the past/third world, then yeah, I agree.

If Finland goes woke like Sweden, I would be in favor of a Winter War round 3. I wonder if Putin will start using tactical nukes? If he did, he could easily take Ukraine, Finland and swedistan.

Did you miss the Cold War?

Using nukes = instant M.A.D.

Finland and Swedistan are not Nato members and dont have nukes.

The radiation can fall into their territory.

Regardless, one nation using nukes offensively will just convince the rest of the world a pre-emptive attack is necessary.

The 2A65 Msta-B 152mm howitzer is currently deployed in Ukraine and can be equipped with 1-Kiloton yield nuclear artillery shells. Putin may be crazy enough to test the Samson option. I wouldn't rule it out yet.

He wont do anything.

Every leader since the end of WW2 always says the same thing but they pussed out at the end.

If Putin loses, the Jews will Eichmann him, so he might go for the Samson option.

Soldiers can refuse orders.

If worst comes to worst, he'll just flee to China and live under constant protection from their government.
