Malthusian concerns are serious considerations, especially since people are set in their ways with their comfortable lives dependent on their matrix of centralized rigged systems - but if the powers that should not be actually wanted to be benevolent and improve things, just as they've convinced folks they need to be consumers or be afraid of COVID, so too, they could convince people to become non-consumerist Luddites in self-reliance living of the land finding meaning and purpose in much more than the latest shitty video game or whatever. I suppose it's just easier to kill most of them and enslave the rest.

There's no way that would be possible, due to billions of excess people. Fly across the US now and notice how much of the landscape is already devoted to industrial food production.

industrial food production = extreme inefficiency

It's extremely efficient on its face, but looking further into the process you'll see it's entirely dependant on ( ͡°( ͡° ͜ʖ(oil)ʖ ͡°) ͡°). The fertilizer, machinery, pest control, processing, shipping, and everything would grind to a halt without that unsustainable fix.

Truth.

Establishment systems need to be addictive to perpetuate the cycles of ruling class exploitation.

I think that's what they've decided to do. The chutzpah is real.
