and yet they are miserable economic cogs with abysmal birthrates, much like us

their small country is full, it makes sense to lower birthrates when you are out of land, the other option would be expanding thru war, but they're occupied by the US military so that they don't do that again.

Japan was the country that revitalized video games when the West had almost abandoned it, but they're the miserable ones?

It's an awkward stereotype to portray every Japanese person as wearing a suit and being chained to a desk, when an extremely famous person like Shigeru Miyamoto barely wears one and always talks about his non-work hobbies.

i can't believe you aren't shitposting.

lots of vidja, therefore not miserable. and how depressed, wage-slave japs isn't a truism because... a huge and wealthy celebrity doesn't wear suits..

I don't believe a real human being would act like this. Severe autism or something else. He also just has completely random swings of opinion and all of a sudden is talking like how an AI might think a Dissident Right person would like to hear. It's pretty funny.

there are alt right losers who really like anime and aren't yet prepared to admit it is degenerate

[–]sylla94 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

yea. ofc there is fair bit of decent anime as far as shows go, but when we talk about "anime" we know that it mostly refers to the escapist, ephebophile, teenage romcom shit consumed by young/middle aged men who are perpetually stuck in their highschool adolescent social phase.

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

yes the most popular anime type is a harem for a guy that is in high school, why is that popular, because it is what all men want or wish they had, it is escapism. Escapism must be outlawed, animation all by itself isn't bad but it should lift people up, inspire them to work hard so that maybe they get that girl they want in reality.

I 100% stand by what I said.

There's a multitude of careers out there, why is business suit + office desk the only thing that comes to mind? You don't think there are Japanese people who are farmers? Or janitors? Or embark on being firefighters?

And while we all need money to live, don't pretend Japan is composed entirely of Capitalists, who don't believe in the value of self worth or creativity. Case and point, Japan makes it nearly impossible for outsiders to come and buy up any of their businesses. And even Japanese businesses would revolt at the idea of being taken over by a foreign entity.

This is why I used Shigeru Miyamoto & Nintendo as a great example of Japanese identity. Despite being a multi-billion corporation, they don't care about following the latest trends and would rather throw money at any ideas they think is "fun". That type of mindset or lifestyle would never fly in the West, where infinite profits comes first.

The Japan depicted in most media is an extremely idealized, romanticized view of the country designed specifically to serve as a fantasy getaway to the majority of Japanese citizens who suffer from great nihilism and pain.

If every Japanese person is dying on the inside, what does it say about the rest of the world where some people are literally living in warzones and having to avoid being bombed to bits just to get to school everyday? They're more happy and live pain free?

Life in general is unfair, but that says nothing about making the best of a bad situation. And Japan is clearly a 1st world country that offers many opportunities for those who want it. Since the country restricts immigrants, that literally means you can take any job right now that has nothing to do with working in an office.

Professional chef, police officer, fisherman, paramedic, engineer, TV Anchorman, Car repairman, Movie Actor, Plumber, School Teacher, the list goes on.

I'm not saying Japan is meant to be a giant Disney Land, and they all sing songs all day. But I also disagree that it's also some grey dysopia like the Soviet Union, where the government picked your job and you had no choice but to slave away for life.

many existing, so few living. all your short term physical requirements accounted for in abundance, provided you participate in the soul crushing and menial economic toil, with most social, mental and spiritual needs symptomatically treated with artificial stimuli. the latter of which often administered in the evening as a form of anesthetic to blot out the fog of malaise brought on from the perpetual slog of the day

japan is the quintessential rebuke to materialists and gay standard of living worshippers

Materially they’re doing fine, I don’t think it’s right to compare Japan with the average third world ZOG battleground.

What other comparisons exist? We can't use the West or I could easily say working 12 hours a day at Amazon is hell on Earth, and the sole purpose of that is just to make Jeff Bezos rich. Or I could bring up the never ending racial riots that don't even have a presence in Japan.

Again, I believe the crux of the problem is you focus entirely on the jobs or lifestyles that are meant to drain you. Or, you might be reading too much into what "happiness" actually means.

For example, I don't deny that most modern anime is made through high exploitation, and dirt cheap labor. HOWEVER. Talk to any Anime artists and they will tell you that it's still their source of joy and amusement to be able to work on cartoons and see the final product. Again, that might sound strange to you as an outsider, but if it works for them, then it's impossible to change this process. Even though conditions in the anime industry could obviously be a lot better, the demand to be an Anime Artist outstrips those looking for an easy way in.

Edit: Another thing to keep in mind is that Japan is a country from the future. Even though these problems like lack of sex, or shut ins exist, it's still going to be the Japanese who will ultimately find a solution to this. They're naturally big on technology, and perhaps they know something about automation and robots that the rest of the world is still catching up with.

I'm not aware of any metric that can prove which country has better work life, especially when there are many variables to consider.

For example, why would a Western police officer be more healthier and spiritually rich, when the risks of doing that job are astronomical? Whether it's being killed during active duty, or the media ready to call you a white supremacist over known hoaxes (i.e Derek Chauvin arresting George Floyd).

There's no way being a Japanese police officer brings you anywhere near such danger, since crime in Japan is low to begin with, and you're mostly dealing with other Japanese who are quite civilized and wont scream "Nazi" for just smiling.

Same can be said about the army. Japan is in peace time so to be fair, it could be seen as being "boring". But on the flip side, U.S soldiers get sent to die in foreign middle eastern wars for Israel. Why would that make me feel spiritually happy for being someone else's pawn or golem?

The average Japanese doesn't work in anime, but my point still stands. Outsiders will look at their careers and claim they're suffering, even though they still love the jobs and refuse to quit when given a choice.

I think it’s a wonderful place but it isn’t any closer to utopia than we Westerners are. They’ve got some serious social ills they need to work on.

In 10 or 20 years, the social ills you mention will look like paradise when the West undergoes near complete replacement while Japan stays homogenous. In which case, the comparison would become Brazil vs Japan. And there's no way Brazilians are happier given the shittier wages, high crime and dysfunctional government.

At the end of the day, race will always trump every other social issue. That's because everything like healthcare or taxes can be fixed over time. But America becoming majority non-white is damn near impossible to escape from without some kind of revolution or forced separation.

the NEET thing is a problem in other countries too such as with incels. This thread being about solutions, a new state would need to control hypergamy so it is one woman for each man.

they're men sent their own way, they're limited to male, japanese women like all western women do grow old and childless due to refusing to settle for anything besides a rich chad. Have to take that choice from them as it's not realistic.

cost of living in Kunohe, Iwate

Selecting a random place in Japan shows apartments costing 246.79 to 343.69 United States Dollars per month. At least on the google. Jobs would have to really suck to make that unaffordable.

          [–]Node 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

Outside of the megacities, they're giving away free houses. Becoming a salaryman is the same kind of choice made by those deciding to live in any other expensive place. Japanese have their own version of 'the rat race', but choosing to run as a participant is an option that's not required.

Look at the work culture in Silicon Valley. It's hard to believe, but people choose that. To be fair, TPTSB have been brainwashing the weak to become consumer-workers for ages. So it's not like a being a corporate drone is their ideal version of life.

One famous person doesn’t say anything about national trends… Japan is an occupied nation, not much more than a satrapy of the global Capitalist empire. Their population is composed of atomised consumers & they only look good relative to the absolute mess that is the West today. But believe me they WILL get to the same place we’re at if current trends continue. It’s just a matter of time.

Don’t compare them to us now, compare them to the Japan of 70+ years ago & you can see how far they’ve fallen spiritually.

Yeah they may not suffer too much from immigration since obviously white guilt shit can’t be held over them.

but, like you say, race/demographics is far from the only problem with modern capitalism. People in our camp sometimes get tunnel vision focussing on those two issues forgetting there’s a lot more to making a healthy society.

See my rebuttal I just made to another user:

            https://saidit.net/s/debatealtright/comments/8mfl/suddenly_youre_the_ruler_of_your_brand_new/w0pj

Everyone should know by now that the media loves to pump out sensational stories in order to sell a narrative and force others to change. Remember Iraq & Libya? The media loved telling us how both countries were the root of all evil, and the only solution was regime change to make them appear more in line.

Yet the real truth is, they were doing fine without our intervention. Japan is absolutely the same thing. It's all slander being used to make their lives look inferior. You don't need a suit and tie to be Japanese. You just have to find another career that does allow you to have fun. And they clearly exist since Japan still does their own farming, their own janitor work, their own video games and movies etc.

Their population is composed of atomised consumers & they only look good relative to the absolute mess that is the West today. But believe me they WILL get to the same place we’re at if current trends continue. It’s just a matter of time.

I guarantee you, if Japan ever reached a stage where they accept unlimited third world immigration, they would collectively commit mass suicide together or burn down their island before handing it over. Their civilization has been around since the beginning of time and they've always been extremely hostile to outsiders living next to them. Just look at how difficult it was getting them to surrender in WW2? We literally had to invent two new bombs in history just to get them to calm down.

            [–]Node 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

You can make comments like this, but when it comes to the covid hoax, you stand 100% with the cabal/corporate pharma narrative. Makes one wonder.

            [–]VraiBleuScots Protestant, Ulster Loyalist 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Yes, but in the end they did surrender. And now they’re part of the American empire. That’s not a state of affairs to emulate.

The current generation of Japanese men are nothing like the people you’re talking about. They’re spiritually dead. Look to pre 1945 Japan if you want to see what a strong culture looks like.

The longer you study dissident right ideas the more you learn that race and demographics aren’t the only things that matter. They’re important, but the Japs, Koreans etc are still spiritually damaged peoples despite being 95%+ native. Don’t believe me? Read some accounts of Japanese war veterans & what they thought about how Japan turned out post-war. They hated it.

            [–]radicalcentristNational Centrism 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

They're definitely under the U.S sphere of influence, but that's completely different from saying it also means they're culturally dominated by them.

Just looking at Covid as another example, the U.S had a hard time getting people to mask up and to this day, there's still controversy involved. But in Japan, wearing a mask PREDATED the pandemic and is socially accepted. Why would this be, if the U.S somehow had a greater say over each Japanese life?

There's always room for improvement and I don't profess the island nation is perfect. But given the fact that Japan is the third most richest country on Earth, while still being able to exercise a sense of nationalism & sovereignty, expectations should tell you they've done incredibly well for the cards being handed to them.

In the leadership for most powerful, the U.S might be #1 but it's a racial powder keg ready to explode. China comes in 2nd spot, and while they lack the race issues of the West, their government is much more brutal and oppresses its own citizens.

That leaves Japan in the middle, who reaps the benefits of both, while lacking their negatives...

            [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

so your example of all wearing masks is used to say japan is great?

The account operator presents as fully believing in the need for everyone to wear masks, and accept as many injections of false vaccines as possible.

Sad but true. I think a lot of the Japanese misery is two fold. Getting cucked by US military power post war but even more importantly having no 'frontier' so to speak. Though beautiful the Japanese Islands have trapped them in. The UK wisely doubled down on seapower giving them opportunities for idealistic and potentially violent lads to range out and get in trouble. The Japanese people were the strongest and most virile when they were prepping for war or fighting with each other as the Island population was smaller. The Japanese (much like whites) need large challenges to apply themselves against or they wither and decay. Regardless of black and brown immigration US and Canadian whites will naturally start to resemble Japanese herbivore men as our population gobbles up the open spaces.
