I'm missing the overall end goal here, but maybe this explains why Donbas appears to be "making a provocation" with Belarus, although tacitly on the same side.

The continuing attacks by the US and EU on Russia and Belarus are being met by highbred responses, since the US and EU are looking for excuses to escalate.

"Darn, it's a shame those moslems entered our country and are now trying to enter Poland."

I don't get the part where he names Donbas, as it seems like he's saying his own side is doing it. Otherwise it seems like a good way to keep the pressure on.

The possible downside is this causing the EU to be less favorable towards invaders? Maybe Lukashenka is trying to wake them up? If the EU ultimately falls to the moslems, that couldn't be good for Belarus.

This is a favor to Putin likely. Giving him an excuse to invade or further isolate Ukraine. If armed migrants attack Polish guards, it would be tantamount to Ukrainian terrorists declaring war on the EU. In that case, the EU won't be able to back Ukraine in a war with Russia.

Without EU support, the US and UK can't do anything in Europe

The problem with that is the Donbas region is held by the Russian separatists. So no one will blame Ukraine for actions of the people they call 'terrorists'.

I spent a couple days looking at the western part of that region on google streetview, with lots of 360 degree drone images. There are massive open pit mining operations all over the place, with incredible processing facilities. Worth checking out if you ever get bored.
