His mother moved him to Hazard when he was just seven. Even then the folks in town could see the queerness in his eyes; that boys not right.

Not the issue. Some boys are born with a queer bent, and that's just the way it is. The issue is that a sitting mayor is doing this in public and people thought this was a good idea. They are literally pimping out their school kids to old perverts in public.

Dude it's a dumb joke about the song 'Hazard' by Richard Marx.

Oh, sorry. I'm very ignorant when it comes to music.

I stayed the night in Hazard about 10 years ago while on a road trip. I couldn't get my family out of there early enough the next morning.

Two hotels. One was $60/night. One was $150/night. This was 10 years ago in Kentucky when the average should have been around $70/night. The EconoLodge looked like a open air drug/prostitution market. I later learned that Hazard had a huge meth problem. The entire town gave me the creeps, and I'm not easily scared, but I had my family with me and wanted to get them out of harms way. If it had not been 9:30pm and such a long way to another town, I would not have stayed.

Vegas is the modern equivalent of Soddom and Gammorah. When I went, I saw what you described and more: public gay sex. Twice!!! Truly a disgusting city filled to the brim with deplorable people.

Lucky me. I've been to Vegas three times, but only as a stop-over and to give the casinos $20. The worst I saw were the "business cards" they give out for the call girls.

Houston used to also, for a while a lot of places became open late or 24 hours to take advantage of customers who weren't sleeping. Even Blockbuster was open till 3 or 4am for a bit.

Then ephedrine was banned and the meth quality went to shit because the chirality of the new method was half R- and as fun as cold medicine. All the stores started going back to normal hours.

I don't miss seeing twacked out addicts out and about everywhere, but I'm often up late at night so the store hours were really convenient.
