The Olympics has banned Black Lives Matter.

In citing reasons for the decision, the IOC said 70 percent of 3,500 athletes surveyed last year agreed it wasn’t “appropriate to demonstrate or express their views” while participating in the Olympics, or attending the opening and closing ceremonies. There’s no such restriction on apparel worn during any press conferences, interviews, or team meetings, however.

Civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who has represented the families of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, criticized the decision in a tweet. “The Olympics will now BAN any athlete who wears a BLM shirt, kneels during the national anthem or raises a fist to oppose racism,” said Crump on Wednesday. “This sends the WRONG message about basic human rights & I urge the Olympic Committee to reverse this decision!”

I'm surprised this announcement is not blowing up on social media. I mean, it is the Olympics. A global event representing every nation. Yet no calls to boycott them?

I think this is pretty much the norm for the Olympics already. It's not some departure. Competitors usually wear the colours and uniforms of their national team. I don't follow it incredibly closely but I've never seen open political messaging on an Olympic athlete's apparel before.

The IOC even reacted negatively to the famous 'Black Power' salute in 1968. The Olympics are supposed to be apolitical.

Um, hello? Based department.

Yeah, but also look at the political climate we are in where BLM has forced itself into every bit of advertising. The Olympics is going be the biggest event this summer, and no BLM presence is a major blow to that.

Yeah weird, innit? It's almost like the Olympics is different from the NFL and run by different people. Hard to wrap your head around I know.

The Olympics has ALWAYS been apolitical and sought to be. This is business as usual. What about that are you having trouble understanding?

Past Olympics have been held in the midst of actual genocides. The worst modern day blacks in the US face doesn't even arise to the level of daily hardship in much of the world, including their motherland Africa. So the idea that the Olympics would set aside a hundred plus years of tradition to accommodate some dimwitted Jewish oligarch funded and astroturfed movement alleging a statistically non existent problem in the wealthiest country on earth is Jewish gaslighting and African American narcissism at its worst.

Perhaps you're not witnessing the bigger picture. There where still 30% of athletes who opposed the decision. Assuming these people are just beginning their career in sports, or they fell for media indoctrination, what do you think is going to happen in the future when more activists begin to swell in numbers and make threats against the IOC?

It's like, you should already be aware of why demographics and political destiny go together.

Edit: There's also the double benefit that the Olympics are going to be held in Japan. A country that already doesn't like political correctness. The same can't be said for future games being held in France or the USA. Where social justice is much more intertwined with their culture.

The bigger picture? Of all the institutions being destroyed by dimwitted gaslit wokeists and their Jewish propagandists, the Olympics is my least concern.

Honestly the cure for wokeism will be the coming economic collapse of the US. If someone cant even afford to house or feed themselves because of runaway inflation, lack of jobs due to mass immigration, and an overall economic collapse, while also facing the constant threat of assault or murder thanks to rampant crime and anarchy in the US stemming from woke ideology and BLM, the last thing they are going to give a shit about is whether some sportsball athlete gets to wear a BLM headband Nike made for them.
