The writer really sounds like he's trying very hard to put a not-too-negative spin on the report. "I'm going to say 'things are bad' just enough to not look out of touch, but not so much that I'll get called a doomsayer".

Ultimately, the societies that succeed will be those that can adapt to change, but also forge social consensus around what should be done, the authors write.

If the UN thought they saw an uptick in nationalism after the migrant wave a few years ago, which was about 1 million, just wait until that number hits 20m per year. The MENA area will be borderline uninhabitable, they won't be able to import food anymore. They can only grow about 10% of their needs in Arabia.

The left will go apeshit and try to bring in martial law to enforce submission to the mass immigration. The middle of the roaders will turn nationalist as a response to feeling directly threatened. We'll end up with our own civil wars. And we'll be shooting would be migrants on the borders. They'll shoot back.

It will be a shit show. I want out of Europe. NZ looks good.

How are they going to shoot back? A wave of migrants is different from a modern organized army and there's a sea between us and them plus multiple countries.

Still, a bunch of desperates with guns cannot do much against an army, plus as I said there's a sea and multiple countries between us and them. Let's not forget about average higher iq of europeans.

Your assuming that their armies won't be coming with them.

Turkey may end up being an ally in that circumstance, bizarrely. I don't imagine they'll be any keener on millions of migrants and Arab armies stomping across their country that we would be.

They wouldhave mroe chances with guerrilla than with an inferior active army made of third worlders, plus it's not only turkey but a bunch of north african countries making as shield because the vast majority of the flood will come from subsaharan africa. But enough with these tehories, we cannot predict the future.
