Okay, so you're not actually against bigotry (discrimination) in toto. You care whether someone's bigotry (discrimination) can be justified.

Sure, but you understand the difference between giving a disadvantaged group a handicap and giving your favorite group a special advantage, right?

Are all black people disadvantaged?

Are all white people advantaged?

In some ways, but it depends. Every person belongs to many groups and they all have different advantages and disadvantages.

Okay. So, despite your initial statement that you don't like discrimination, you acknowledge that you feel justified in utilizing some forms of discrimination.

You also don't think that all members of said group should be the beneficiaries of discriminatory policies.

This is getting a bit convoluted for me, but I'll try my best.

Given that you feel some forms of discrimination are, or at least can be, justified, despite other people disagreeing with those discriminatory policies, is it not possible that other discriminatory policies could also be justified? Not putting words in your mouth but I'm sure you don't see yourself as the only person that's allowed to agree with some discriminatory policies, whatever they may be, right?

I guess theoretically it's possible, but based on my time here I can tell you with a good deal of certainty that the alt right's desires are not justified exceptions.

[–]Nombre27 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Which desires are those?

[–]DoubleReverse[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Ethnostate, racial segregation, racial persecution, the kinds of things you read about in alt right spaces.

[–]Nombre27 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Okay.

So what do you think is wrong about an ethnostate?

So what do you think is wrong about an racial segregation?

So what do you think is wrong about an racial persecution?

Any others?

The victimize a certain segment of the population, which is bad enough in its own but that also leads to further division and societal unrest that hurts even people who aren't being directly victimized.

So do you support discrimination against jews?

[–]DoubleReverse[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

That's not even giving your favorite group an advantage, that's just persecuting people you dislike.

[–]DragonerneJesus is white 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

No it's "leveling the playing field" by lowering the privileged class

[–]DoubleReverse[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (6 children)

Non-jewish people as a group never got forced into slums or profiled by police or ostracized by employers. There's no comparison.

[–]DragonerneJesus is white 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (5 children)

Whataboutism.

Jewish people are extremely privileged compared to whites. Why don't you support affirmative action here to fix the inequity?

You're just antiwhite that's why.

[–]DoubleReverse[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

But what about the joos

[–]DragonerneJesus is white 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Bad faith

[–]DoubleReverse[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Rejecting a bad faith argument is arguing in good faith
