It is of Russian origin, so I don't know how much I want to trust this platform. Overall it works really well, but what about the Russian government spying? I don't think I have anything to hide from them, but I still like my privacy... So I've also been using Gab. To be honest both are good from a usage standpoint. And fuck facebook.

What does that mean, on the block chain?

I believe what that means is that your post goes up on a public database or ledger that cannot be altered, changed, or deleted, so it is a necessary component for free speech. For example if Twitter was on a blockchain, they could not suspend an account. But I am no expert on this so I may be miss-interpreting how this works.

They could certainly still suspend an account, but they could never delete any tweets, because the record is distributed on a blockchain.
