Not sure your specific interest...

I forgot the detail about the weed poisonings. It wasn't weed vapes, it was the K2 and other synthetic cannabinoids.

Someone obviously purposely poisoned them with rat poison, which could NEVER EVER be an accident from a "bad batch," as has been suggested. This suggestion is meant to confuse people loosely familiar with bad batches of LSD in the 1960's, which could be tainted with Strychnine, due to real old-school LSD being made from ergot, which contains Strychnine. The one or two people making all of the LSD in the US were busted eventually. Now days, it is all made from safer sources and technically more of LSA than actual LSD.

So the police busted a couple of Indian/Pakistani/etc. stores that were selling the synthetic cannabinoids and offloaded blame on them. This helped the public not ask more questions about who was purposely poisoning the public.

Chemical companies started putting adulterants into Anhydrous Ammonia pretty early on after the Illinois Drug Task Force created the Illinois Meth Epidemic. They have tried lots of stuff, starting with poisons that seemed like normal farming stuff, to specific focused adulterants. The stuff is expensive for farmers and one of the most dangerous tools/products on the farm. They aren't likely to resist any chemical company or law enforcement lobbied addition to poison the tanks, hoping to deter their reckless theft.

The Illinois Drug Task Force accusation I have only my own personal observations and interviews with people who were manipulated by them. Their pattern of work is retrospectively very apparent and documented in court. Despite never being questioned and the court bending over backwards for them, The Illinois Drug Task Force ran most of the drugs in the sate for decades, mostly out in the open.
