It might. Accounts we make promoting saidit would no doubt get banned swiftly under this regime. While I am reluctant to organize a promotional squad I think reddit users should be aware that alternatives exist.

I am also worried about how many new users saidit can handle.

I saw this website mentioned on Reddit and immediately made an account. I didn't know this site existed. So, this website could certainly use some promotion.

I think one other think that would help with website is the creation of all the specialized subs that Reddit has. Right now, there are some generic subs, but no subs about a specific topic. For example, there is a gaming sub, but no World of Warships or CS:GO sub. Getting people to at least start up some of these subs would go a long way to expanding this sites longevity.

Those things will happen organically and don't have to be forced or contrived. Also, it's a concern that the average easily offended pro-censorship Redditor dragging down the quality of the content and conversation...I mean, really if you haven't left Reddit by now......

Control = Insecurity

Insecurity = Fear

Fear = Weakness

Strong minded people have no need to worry about what others think, as it has no effect. Weaklings fear the worst and so strive to control and manipulate those who they fear.

Someone upvoted a post talking against HT for children and received a notice from the thought police.
