As a kid I always wondered about 6 and three score 6 and how that came to 666. But we are taught in school that a score was how past people said 20 years and by the old quote "four scores and seven years ago"...

But I just ran into the mystery of "Plato's number" that is in his work Republic written about 375 BC. I'm going to drop the links but I want to give you a little context concerning Plato's Republic first.

Aldous Huxley's Brave New World has a dystopian government that bears a resemblance to the form of government described in the Republic, featuring the separation of people by professional class, assignment of profession and purpose by the state, and the absence of traditional family units, replaced by state-organized breeding.

It outlines a "utopian city" that seems more like a totalitarian hellscape to a modern reader. Some say Plato was just being ironic in a way meant to make the reader think about these things.... But the fact is that the aristocrat Plato's own school produces several tyrants and no philosopher kings.

So with that context this is about Plato's number. Obviously the similarity of 6 cubed with 6 three score 6 caught my attention.

I thought it pretty intriguing to think that Revelations may actually be referring to Plato's number and his desire to create unnatural city states to rule over manipulated, brainwashed from birth masses of people. He desired to create the cave from his own allegory. And here we are living in it .

Anyone else think this is possible that this was what was really being referenced.
