It started when Ellen Pao was hired to be the CEO of Reddit. The first thing she did was guy the RES analytical tools. There used to be a RES feature that would show a post's percentage of upvotes vs downvotes. That would tell you if something was actually unlikable, or merely controversial. The removal of that feature, among others, is what started the dumbing down of Reddit as a platform.

There are ways to report instances of CP being distributed without self-incriminating. I won't pretend to be a professional on the subject; If someone who know a bit more want to speak up, then please, do. I'd like to learn too.

But I do know it can be done, because I know a person who had to report inappropriate pictures from when she was a minor. Maybe I should ask her about it. Or maybe not, cuz people are rightfully sensitive about that kind of thing.

You can't blame Reddit for the poor conduct of some of it's users. That said, you can absolutely hold Reddit accountable failing to enforce it's own code of ethics as well as hosting illegal content. If Reddit won't clean up this mess, it's time to document and report the issue to Law Enforcement.

I can almost forgive him. At least he owned up too what he did, learned from it, and became a more responsible gun owner. It's unfortunate that he wasn't sufficiently responsible from the onset. The app can access your phone's data, plus any databases connected to your phone. So they get your contacts, addresses, phone numbers, pictures, and more. They can then sell that data for profit. It's basically a semi-legal phishing scheme, and a huge pain in the ass for anyone who works in data security. One idiot puts an app on their phone, and next thing you know China somehow beat you to producing whatever product your company spend millions of dollars designing and testing.

And this is why people call mainstream media fake news. To us, the public, it doesn't matter who he was, what matters is the tragedy he committed. His politics don't affect his actions. And here we have a media who views things the complete opposite way. They're willing to bury this tragedy, despite it's horror, precisely because of who he was.

I just thought it'd be fun to point out that while AAA games are seemingly losing their appeal, Japanese light games seem to be growing. Fate GO, Azure Lane, Kantai Collection, and Pokemoin GO have all exploded in popularity. These games have none of the budget of AAA games, and are usually a graphical mix between Game Boy graphics and a Webcomic. And yet, they're exploding. Why? Because they're capturing something that AAA games aren't: Fun.

What a fantastic thing to witness. That must be a one-in-a-lifetime thing. It probably happens on a near daily basis, but to actually notice, and catch it on camera? That's awesome.

Man, there are so many out there... Ergo Proxy, Ghost In The Shell... But I'm be that guy and recommend Fate Zero. Why? Because it's an amazing Classical Tragedy, with compelling characters and compelling motives. The artwork is amazing, especially the backgrounds and attention to detail. The antics get pretty epic. It's fun to see one character's slow decent into darkness, and the corrupt but understandable philosophy behind hit. He's probably one of the top-10 anime villains, if only because you can understand what made him a villain.

I mean, yes. There's a lot of great anime out there, some it is probably better than Fate Zero. And the rest of the Fate series is questionable. But Fate Zero is a home run, and you should watch it.

One of my problems with those statistics is that they don't discriminate between lawful shootings, negligence, and crime. For example, they state that there was 74,000 non-fatal injuries. But they don't bring up how many of the injuries were caused by lawful self-defense. How much of that was crime, how much of that was defense against crime? Yes, there is a small bit about self-defense in there, but it's not lined up with the overall stats.

And one of the sad realities of the Internet is that edgy, rough, and vulgar sites tend to have a better view of what's going on than the sanitized, censored, and politically correct sites do. This website is growing, and unlike Voat, and hasn't been overran with racist schills/bots/sockpuppets plus maybe a few actual racists. So, this website is shaping up to be fairly promising. And unlike Reddit, no there isn't any brigading or mass flagging, at least not yet. So right, I'm actually finding this site to be more enjoyable than Reddit.

My big question is what other groups do they satirize? Because if they only make fun of Jews, then you could argue that yes, this is antisemitic. But if they are also making fun of Germans, Irish, Blacks, Asians, and all others... Then well, it's hard to say that are putting hate on anyone in particular. South Park reached is fame by being willing to lampoon any and everyone. South Park isn't bigoted, it's just edgy. That may be the case with this carnival as well.

Or it might not be. Maybe this is Pogrom-lite. I don't know. I've never even heard of this carnival before. I'm just saying it's important whether or not they discriminate against one single race, or just make fun of everyone.
