A definite problem in governance.

Take a look at the leaders.

The dirty secret that they aren't usually allowed to mention in the media (and I'm very surprised to see admitted in this article) is that the vast majority of them are killed by indigenous men.

That is really, in the long run, a problem with the local leadership in the tribes.

But I wonder if these are leaders that have been imposed by Ottawa or by Toronto or by the Ontario government.

The hyperventilating about deaths and disappearances and murders and various forms of mayhem, and hinting that something underhanded is occurring , is just embarrassing.

Yes violence is occurring. It is called domestic violence. And it is not being imposed by Nestle, or by Nvidia, or by SMCI or Dell computer.

As much as a global problem Dell Computers is, this is one problem that cannot be hung at its door.

I will say that the natives here in Canada did get a particularly raw deal, especially where the government and church teamed up to take the kids away from their parents and "educate them properly" in residential schools. Whether or not there are fields of unmarked graves, it fucked up a lot of communities in a fundamental way.

So, is there government shit to reconcile? Yes. And also, people need to take their own responsibility for the hands they lay on other people nonetheless.
