Why would anyone support the use of TikTok? (Genuine question.)

What's behind the ban is that the NSA are well aware of the fact that the CCP has been getting a massive amount of personal data via TikTok. That's obviously dangerous. You want to support that? Does any Saiditor want to support that? Remember the complaints here about how much data Google, Amazon and Apple have on us? What happens when similar data - indeed much more personal data - is in the hands of the CCP? Rather than encourage Saiditors to be hypocrites regarding the sharing of data - only because Trump now supports it (because Trump owes Chinese and other business people millions) - try to understand the complexity of this problem of the CCP having your data. There's nothing simple about it. Do you want to point to Israel's influence? Sure they're deeply involved in the sharing US data. But censoring TikTok is absolutely the smartest security measure the US has considered taking in years. The company should be banned.
