Holy shit, the fucking government is writing to various companies and asking them to deplatform Russell Brand, based on unproven allegations about his behavior ten to twenty years ago?

This is just so many different kinds of wrong.

Social credit scoring strikes again, at government level! You can't just be a good standing member of the community, you must appear to be a good standing member of the community. Russell would have grounds to sue for lost earnings from any platform instructed to halt funds based on any false allegations if cleared.

That makes me think this might be why the government are sending there letters.

If the company can turn round and say "the state told me to" that might clear them.

Could be certain companies asked for these to be sent out.
