I have a "Plan Z" scenario involving me wandering off into the woods with a backpack and a tarp, and living off of river fish, acorns, and scavenged food.

I think, seriously though, it would be useful to understand how the Chinese cope with this, and what measures they take in day to day life. Because I don't see this not coming to a city near you within the next two years. Max. It's already kind of here, it's just a bit disorganized and fragmented. But it's here.

So, just take the extra steps you're taking now. Get off of social media. Avoid the mainstream news and learn to think for yourself (not saying you don't already do this, just a general warning thing), consider growing your own food, and get a second (preferably dumb) phone as a back-up communicator. Consider buying a hand-held CB radio or something, too.

I think this is coming, it'll be streamlined soon, and we can't stop it. The best we can do is prepare, learn how men and women in decades past handled the stresses and nuances of living under an authoritarian regime, and get some interior strength to deal with all this.
