Look at the year for big tech though, 50% drops across the board. In the wider perspective it doesn't look in any way good for big tech, they can't survive this forever.

When a stock price drops, only the owner of the stock loses.

The company actually gains by a stock price drop.

That is true, but you are leaving out the part about being a bag holder for a decade to not have the loss.
