Indeed, it's not good at all. At first, I thought they had deleted certain videos till I realized that their search functionality is really primitive.
use the following search parameters to narrow your results:
e.g. sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
sub:pics site:imgur.com dog
advanced search: by author, sub...
