I got banned from discord...

Because I joined a freespeech server that mostly had edgy insensitive political and racist memes, but i never participated in any convo. 2 days later i get an email from discord that "my account was found to have sent threats to others, participated in targeted harassment, or incited violence against individuals or communities." None of these claims is true. Either i got reported by someone in the server or Discord happened to come across that server and wiped out everyone in it... I tried appealing but i was told the decision is final... Anyone else experienced something like this?

At least now you don't have to use their unreliable services, so maybe they did you a favor even if they didn't intend to.

What is not reliable? It wasnt an ip ban so i made a new account. I was in bunch of gaming servers with people I've known for years. Now they suspect i was involved with racist groups and don't want me anymore...

I've been screaming my head off about these dangers of Discord. But nobody listens "it's free"... Fuckdammit, there's a FUCKING REASON it's free. DO YOU FUCKING RETARDS UNDERSTAND?

All major social media are platforms to find links between people. That's the fundamental reason they exist.

Yeah, sorry to hear that. Not much you can do other than making people aware. That's social media for you.

And to answer your question. This has been known to be a thing, where if there's a server that has alot of bad apples, Discord will just perform a blanket ban, regardless of who's participating.

Yeah they perma'ed my old discord account for being on the chadfish discord server. I'd never sent a message on it. When they don't like a server they just perma everyone who was on it.

"Chadfish" is the idea of making OLD profiles using obscure male models and showing that women truly are the thing they complain about most - incredibly shallow. On the server we discussed methods of "chadfishing", and shared results of it. But a bunch of people who are against the concept brigaded the server and posted pornography, so the discord admins nuked the entire server and perma banned everyone on it, regardless of whether we had actually done anything wrong. People who never typed anything or ever joined a voice channel still got banned.
