Is marijuana addictive? Yes it is, but so is caffeine, and the degree matters. Marijuana is more probably addictive than caffeine, but the degree of addictiveness is just not comparable between marijuana and harder drugs like heroin or crack or methamphetamines. People using harder drugs prostitute themselves, go homeless, lose children, get diseases, and risk dying of overdoses at truly alarming rates. The vast majority of marijuana users, even the heaviest addicts are not experiencing anywhere near this level of desperation, and statistically their addictions pose FAR FAR less danger to themselves and others.
