At the height of the Great Depression, a local economy survived and even thrived - lessons were that would benefit everyone.
BUT the lessons will not be learned
because:
- The People: Disinterested in learning. Hence: Catch-22'ed
- The Hierarchy
- The Office Holders - banned and shutdown what the local economy was doing
- The Experts - papered over the key lessons - focused on the minutiae
- The Mind Gatekeepers - 'decentralization" - misdirect away from the real key lessons
The lessons
At the height of the Great Depression, the Wörgl local economy survived and even thrived without the following:
The Indirect Hierarchical Systems
- National government:
- National policy makers & regulators
- Fiat money
- Corporate banks
- their fractionally reserved loans
- Corporate Fund Managers
- Pension Savings - they are not what we think they are (more to come)
- Social Media
- Debate on what "-ism" to call their system
