Superior Western weapons are insufficient to push Russia completely out Ukraine because of Russia's vast manpower, but it can force Putin to negotiate as the war hurts Russia's economy and causes dissension at home.

This is the peace deal that the UN should propose to Putin and Zelensky. Russia will be permitted to occupy territory it seized from Ukraine before the February 2022 invasion although the land would legally belong to Ukraine. Russia must withdraw from all land it seized after the invasion. NATO membership will remain as it is. The UN will be obligated to defend Ukraine if Russia invades again.
