Six people were horrifically sliced to death by glass-encrusted kite strings after a blood-drenched festival in India.

so normal kite strings don't do this right?

How stupid do u have to be to think flying razor sharp strings on a windy day is a good idea?

Killing kids, stopping flights from leaving and maiming wildlife all for kites. Assholes.

Officials in Pakistan banned the practice in 2007 following a string of deaths – with most of the victims being children.

The article claims people have died in previous years from the same thing. It seems like people would learn a lesson.

But it's a lot like fireworks. We hear about people being injured by them, and even killed, but every year, people continue to play with them.
