Slippery slope works both ways unfortunately if you've not got your footing. First it's laws like this. Next they will crack down on places where homosexuals gather such as gay bars for some reason ostensibly to stop western propoganda or spies or something. Doubt they'll see much reason to police bedrooms but hey, if it's criminalized you can always use it against your political opponents and if it's demonized they'll get away with it.

Happened to a Republican sheriff in the US even while being completely legal. Guy was well liked until it came out he had a Mexican boyfriend. After that career over. Expect opposition leaders in Russia to be "caught with their pants down" whenever a reason for their removal needs to be manufactured.

That's a good point. It sucks for that sheriff in Arizona too. He didn't get much sympathy from liberals either. As for this bill in Russia, what are the odds of it getting passed? A bill was proposed in 2016 that would have made it illegal for gay men to come out as gay in government buildings, but the Russian parliament rejected it.

Was he in Texas illegally?
