They're protesting rules to reduce pollution near protected habitats. It has nothing to do with covid or whatever Canadian truckers are protesting.

They're also being violent shitheads and drove tractors into police vehicles.

Yes, authoritarian is when the democratically elected government does something. Maybe next time at least do proper research on a topic instead of just throwing out bullshit about unelected bureaucrats because it's a fun buzzword to say to rile up dumbfucks who have 5 second attention spans.

Yes, democracy is corruption, sure. If they are that concerned with their elected officials being corrupt then they are free to vote them out of office. That's how democracy works. What they are not free to do is dump manure on the freeway or try to run over police in tractors.
