Hahaha. Hey I'll give it a go, but first I'll have to get rid of all my books and clothes and watches and furniture and cars and sell my house and... Take up heroin of course. Perhaps if I took up heroin first it would make throwing my life in the toilet easier? I'm sure from reading the article that's how most of those lot did it.

No I don't give a shit! Why should we? They don't want our help, they refuse it as the article points out. Who are we to tell them how to live their lives anyway. If they want to die young in the snow of an english winter so be it, I'm not going to interfere and certainly not going to shed a tear over someone else's life choices. Where did this fucking "Feel sorry for every problem" mentality ever come from? Bleeding heart liberals no doubt. It's all about guilt trips and power plays and interfering with another's choices and I for one won't have any of it. Let the parasites die in peace.

Bleeding heart liberals no doubt.

Leftists, not liberals.

The mentality comes from the left's only value: harm reduction. They see people who aren't living as well as they could, see harm being done, and get really angry about it. Then then use the only tool in their toolbox: forcing people via government intervention. Read more here.

I see. So it's a self-righteous stunt, an exercise in moral superiority over the conservatives, to lay a guilt trip on them and denigrate their choices and opinions. I'm glad I don't have Jonathan Haidt's job, having to wade through the mental detritus of the average dysfunctional person, who no doubt make up the bulk of the applicants applying for his tests/experiments. I mean if someone asked me if I wanted to partake in a psychological test I'd tell them politely to fuckoff. What a waste of a day that would be. I could be out fishing, or anything!

Haidt has done good work on the psychology of political persuasion. He's a self-described liberal who discovered some of the personality traits that correlate with political belief. One of the most telling discoveries was that conservatives tend to be curious about what liberals think and why, while liberals see conservatives as inferior "other," inherently incapable of thought.

Here's his TED talk on the moral roots of leftists and conservatives: http://www.ted.com/index.php/talks/jonathan_haidt_on_the_moral_mind.html

Short version, conservatives have five values while leftists have only one.

Ha, should be good for a laugh. yes morals are certainly lacking with that crowd. And any sense of reality too. I remember seeing a vid of SJW women protesting for the rights of muslim men, an immigration thing, and of course they would be all staunch feminists. Rabid feminists protesting for the acceptance of a culture that denigrates and enslaves women, talk about cognitive dissonance.

Not sure where it is, but there was a follow up that confirmed this and also looked at the libertarian views- who also seemed to have only one axis, that of freedom.

Hmmm, interesting video. I would definitely fit the conservative mold, and certainly struggle against liberal attitudes, but I wonder what the purpose of the talk was, considering he's a liberal and that it was aimed at liberals? Is he truly independent in his science? As most scientists claim to be but aren't, because they are human. Was he was actually just explaining the facts and nothing more? The facts are true I would surmise and a good takeaway, but I wonder, considering his closing comments, if he wasn't trying to arm liberals so they could avoid getting caught in contentious arguments with the conservatives and instead focus solely on their objective, that of creating disunity, disorder and destroying social stability in their headlong rush to secure gay rights for sperm whales.

Another member of the Reddit Hate Brigade falsely pretending to be a conservative.

Ahhh, a true liberal, thanks for the heads up.
