Uhh wasn't the South Korean prime minister the one who was ousted via mass protests, just a few years ago, because of her connection to some "black magic cult" or something?

So maybe that ties in to the Gilsangsa Temple

Yes and while searching for that, I also found this:

After President Roh Moo-hyun killed himself in 2009 following allegations of corruption, many South Koreans considered him a victim of political revenge by his conservative enemies.

What the hell is going on in South Korea? Edit: oh my God - and ANOTHER... the one between Him and the Lady...

On 22 March 2018, Lee was arrested on charges of bribery, embezzlement, and tax evasion alleged to have occurred during his presidency.

Edit 2:

AND THE CURRENT one... what the hell.

Yeah it's super corrupt. I guess I'm not too surprised as South Korea is mostly propped up and funded by the US as a buffer against North Korea's expansion. Just like the US propped up and grew Japan after WW2, as a buffer against Chinese expansionism. Same with the Philippines and Taiwan.

So basically the politics of SK is a game of musical chairs and inter-personal pecking order stuff because their major concerns (like people buying their exports, and military defense from NK) are taken care of externally by the US. So it's just some weird club of people now, who apparently keep backstabbing from each other and killing each other out of greed and lust for power. At least there seems to be some justice with the arrests and jailtime and the fact the protests in 2017 ousted the prime minister, so it's not totally totally out of control.

I wonder if it's like Jones said

"They set people up to do 95% good and 5% bad and when they're done, they get them out and put in the next dupe".
