Oh boy. I see nothing good coming from this verdict.

@yopasta:

I am looking for a guest who could come on my show and give us more insight to this historic decision. Any suggestions of who I could bring on, please list in the comments.

My mind is split on this one, and it's not even related to this particular story.

On one hand, yes, parents are responsible for a lot of the bullshit that gets pushed into their kids' brains. So if a kid's behavior that can be tied to what the parents have made him/her believe requires criminal proceedings, I'm fine with the parents being held responsible. They are.

On the other hand, no, parents are not the only environmental factor. Nor should they remain liable for their kids indefinitely, though they do remain at the very least morally responsible for what their children do even late in life, if they were the ones to make them this particular way. In this case at 15, parents are not off the hook but again, they're not the only factor either. What of the teachers? School infrastructure? Education program? Neighborhood? Nearby cops? Consequences of the shit economy caused by the never-liable criminals in government?

And of course, if this was to become a precedent to hold other people responsible as cover for a much deeper issue that could be traced all the way to the top, this is exactly how this would be used.

Given the way things have been going, I'd expect that last part to be a salivating prospect for quite a few criminal psychopaths.

Also, fuck Cloudflare.
