Now they are giving away $300M in my taxes to clear homeless encampments- and, in theory, house them - first come first serve on grants ...

Did I mention they consider that enough to help 10,000 homeless get into housing? Do the math per. Now consider in L.A.Co alone before the last few years they hit 65k on the streets...

Except they are focusing on Freeways, ie CalTrans property clear outs.

Except our families, elderly, teens, vets without raging issues are almost entirely off the street already. Have been proactively and swiftly for years now.

Except there isn't any actual housing open in almost any areas, even if they are willing.

Except you need to not use anything, stay on your meds, and be a safe to others human at shelters.

Except they cannot hold OR house anyone against their voluntary consent.

Except we have decriminalized 99.9% of what used to be used to detain problems and criminals.

Except we have basically ZERO mental health facilities, and most substance abuse treatment is for profit only.

Just more virtue signalling free money for his activist org buddies in an election year.

The issue is very simple. Newsom doesn't care. What needs to happen is a long term plan to help the homeless, address the issues of drug addiction, and to address California's cost of living problems.

That would require politicians that aren't corrupt and who actually care about the people. Hint: That's not Newsom.
