Some great points made below, especially the silence of the NSA, but here's another indicator it was total BS from the get-go. If this was a security breach by a foreign power as claimed - some politicians actually called it an act of war - why did the FBI not immediately take custody of the server? Since when does law enforcement NOT do that, instead relying on a 3rd party who's in the employ of the "victim" of the crime to conduct the investigation?

Yeah, the whole "investigation" was clearly bullshit from the start. Crowdstrike even admitted as much when they were under oath.
