The one thing I think the WGA should not get are the "minimum amount of writers to hire" - that quota shit isn't going to make any program better, it's more like enforced adult day care for bad writers.

Also I hope this fails. I'm really enjoying not having Colbert on air or "writers" taking a woke shit on IPs I'm fond of like the Witcher.

IPs I'm fond of like the Witcher.

they butchered that show and drove out one of the few actors that cared about the story.

The studios even admit they hire creatives that not only never read the material, but some openly despise it.

It's not new that Hollywood sneered down their collective noses at ComicCon SciFi and Fantasy stories, but took them on because of the massive profits the fans provided, but that's over now. I'm afraid these writers and actors will return to an industry losing so much cash the jobs simply will be gone, even if they did manage more pay for the work they can find.

I will never forgive the industry for turning one of my favorite books, A Wizard of Earthsea, into a complete travesty.

The three-year contract agreement – agreed to after five marathon days of renewed talks by negotiators WGA and the AMPTP – must still be approved by the guild’s board and members before the strike can be declared officially over.

We will have to wait and see what the workers got out of this deal, or if the union leadership capitulated to senior management

The question becomes if the workers are forced to approve of a deal that falls short of their goals.

Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger, fresh from a contract extension that gave him an annual bonus of five times his base salary, criticised striking writers and actors as “just not realistic” in their demands.

Yeah, making a bad situation worse.

He's in a hurry for people to pay to watch more of Disney's uninteresting recycled woke crap, and to make his next annual bonus six times his base salary this time \o/
