You can debate the symbolism of what day should be truly Labor Day, but there's one thing that cannot be denied. The system is failing ordinary American people to make the rich even more wealthy.

The system has been serving the rich in the Americas since colonial times and in the the rest world, since time immemorial.

Among other things, anti-socalist and anti-communist measures ensure that the rich won't need to share with those whom they exploit. And anti public program measures help ensure that the rich won't have to pay anywhere near their fair share. Same for union busting (and co-opting of union leaders). And governing in thrall to the MIC.
