I wonder is this them trying to delete history, by doing this they are censoring people. When people do search on google Reddit come as result. Voters have very short memory, this is why establishment subs don`t allow old news articles. They are getting ready for 2024 election, they have learn from 2016 that Reddit have a lot of power

Reddit is self destructing.

I've been having less luck searching for my old comments. No, you can't find everything on the Internet.

No. I normally use Google with "site:reddit.com WayOfTheBern Caelian" followed by key words. This worked pretty well before the Recent Unpleasantness.

H/T "The Recent Unpleasantness" is a Southern euphemism for the American Civil War, also known as "The Wahr Between the States". There's nothing "Civil" about it, you know.

But hey, at least this 'new chat infrastructure' is so much better than the previous one, so it's all worth it \o/

Sure it's buggy, ugly, less usable and spied on, but... that's what makes it better, right? Who cares about data retention.

All that data remains on the Reddit servers anyway, users simply don't have access to it, so Reddit will still be able to parse it and sell whatever can be sold from it, it's all good \o/
