In this witness video, a man can be heard screaming as he's running. He suddenly jumps into an active traffic lane. A loud horn can be heard from an approaching vehicle, but it's too late. The guy gets smashed by the car and sent flipping in the air before crashing hard to the ground. The car fails to stop and ends up running over the guy, crushing his life force.

Nice camerawork, kept the body quite nicely on frame. BTW, quite crazy how the driver both struck the jaywalker and then ran him over.

Actually the brakes on the car were fine - you can see the wheels lock up and skid moments after impact
