MY EXPLANATION = A couple were getting snow out of their driveways and car and into the property of the man that lived right in front of them. The man noticed, called them out and the couple started insulting him. The man then went inside his house, got his gun, fired at least 4 warning shots. Since the couple gave no fucks about those shots, the man started shooting at them. Instead of trying to defuse the scenario or just not make things a lot worse, the couple kept on insulting him even after being hit by bullets. After making sure the couple was dead, the man committed suicide.

Honestly, all three of them were at fault in that situation. The couple for egging on a clearly unstable guy with a gun, and the guy with the gun for bringing it out and shooting them.
None of them were innocent just like none of them were smart, and all of them paid for their rashness and stupidity with their lives.

There's still degrees of blame and innocence though. I hate any analysis that just shrugs off the blame. Yes the married couple were needlessly aggressive and stupid at every turn, but nonetheless, the primary person at fault is the murderer who shot them to death. Having said that, the point should not be lost on anyone here - don't escalate a situation with someone who's clearly unstable and has a gun.

Nobody said anything about whether or not they deserved it... Obviously no deserves to die from a yelling argument, but the fact of the matter is they never backed down or tried to diffuse the situation. Were they morally/lawfully correct? Sure, but either way their decision to yell at a guy who's pointing a gun/actively firing on them was clearly the wrong choice, and now their 15-year-old autistic son will have to live without parents for the rest of his life.

Nah. These fucks were bullies who were deliberately making the guy's life miserable. They were threatening him even in this video. There are people who have learned, through experience, how to harass and hurt others at a level that's just below what the local "authorities" will take seriously. They can carry on campaigns like this for years and be so adept at recording evidence to make any response from their victims look like unprovoked attacks.

That can take a serious mental toll on the victim. With no way to effectively fight back (unlike the bullies, the victim is not skilled in lies, manipulation, and sustained coordinated harassment) the victim eventually sees the only way to end the pain is to do something extreme. The shooter in this video was so broken down by this couple that the only way he had to stop their attacks was to end all of them.

If you don't see how that is possible, then you are either being purposely blind, or have lived a very sheltered and privileged life.

They had so many ways to avoid this, so many times they could've defused this shit and they pressed on regardless.
