lool I know what you mean. I didn't watch it when posting it here. Saw this 2-3 years ago on reddit wpd and was one of the gnarliest vids I had seen and that's including the torture vids. This one just gets to me for some reason, makes me nauseous.

What's weird is that after all these years of seeing hundreds (thousands?) of different vids, I've somehow become more sensitive to death and gore vids again.. went from sensitized --> desensitized --> kinda sensitized again. Kinda weird

During training for the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lauberhornauberhorn race, while entering the finish S, Reinstadler lost control and crashed into safety nets at full speed, where the tip of his ski gets caught in the net tearing his abdomen open. Reinstadler suffered a pelvic fracture and severe internal injuries. By the time he reached the hospital he had lost 3.5 litres of blood (The human body carries around 5.5 litres).

He died later the same night (12.43pm) at an Interlaken hospital after a six-hour operation as a result of heavy bleeding in the pelvic region.

The "Lauberhon race" is more commonly known as Wengen's DH race of the FIS Alpine Skiing World Cup. It's still Switzerland's biggest annual sports event with tens of thousands of spectators tightly together on certain spots of the course. It's gonna be fucking sad to watch it without much of a crowd (or any at all) for 2020.
