So basically...

Dude's on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck, when an unmarked white van pulled up right in front of him. How the fuck was this guy supposed to know it was the cops when they're driving around in unmarked vans in the middle of the night? I can almost guarantee you that the dead man pulled his gun out because he likely didn't know it was actual cops, and the cop, without any backup whatsoever (who left his radio in said unmarked van and wasn't in uniform), decided that this man needed to die.

And the lack of bodycam footage is just swell.

Luckily the "cop" who shot this guy is serving time in prison, and isn't expected to be released until the 2040s. This is the first time I've ever heard of this case, and I'm almost amazed that the cop actually did get prison time for this.
