Now throw in a taser being shot at a cop with a firearm. Dude could’ve easily grabbed that pistol. I wouldn’t want to take that chance.

Could've grabbed the pistol. Could've done a lot of things.

But he didn't. He only had a taser which, according to police, is non-lethal.

I'm just saying that either the police need to admit that tasers can indeed be lethal, or that what the cop did was hugely disproportionate.

It's not about the lethality of tasers. If the cop is incapacitated by the taser, the criminal can steal his gun and endanger others. This is also why cops can be justified in shooting people who come at them with fists.

Dude, the guy was resisting arrest and running away from police with a stolen weapon in his hands. He asked for it.
