I know this is the latest ACAB incident to cause unrelated buildings to be lit on fire, but I don't feel super bad for the victim this time. He was fighting them for, AFAIK, no apparent reason, and if I were a cop I would use deadly force if a perp was trying to incapacitate me. After tazing the cop, the cop could have potentially been defenseless, and his life would be in danger in turn. The black guy shouldn't have resisted at all, but since he decided to anyway, he should have just kept running.

Well what's sad is this stuff with the police going on in the US has totally hamstrung cops who are out there just doing their job. Now when they're being shot at and fire back, you're going to have idiots whining about police brutality. BLM 3 years ago were all over them for shooting a guy who was shooting at them. When they showed them the video of the guy shooting at them, BLM literally said "you still shouldn't have shot him," meaning it's okay for criminals to shoot at the police but they cannot shoot back, that would be racist.

There are a lot of bad cops out there as we have seen the last two weeks but there are mostly good cops and it really sucks to be them right now.

40% of cops beat their wives, so the segment of cops that are good isn’t a huge majority.

Not surprising. Violent authoritarians are drawn to the job. The onus is on us as a society to screen them out, but if we did, we'd have to pay the smaller pool of candidates more money. We accept the status quo so that we can afford the latest iPhone 11 Pro. But hey, exercise some common sense and you won't get a beat down.
