I know this is the latest ACAB incident to cause unrelated buildings to be lit on fire, but I don't feel super bad for the victim this time. He was fighting them for, AFAIK, no apparent reason, and if I were a cop I would use deadly force if a perp was trying to incapacitate me. After tazing the cop, the cop could have potentially been defenseless, and his life would be in danger in turn. The black guy shouldn't have resisted at all, but since he decided to anyway, he should have just kept running.

Well what's sad is this stuff with the police going on in the US has totally hamstrung cops who are out there just doing their job. Now when they're being shot at and fire back, you're going to have idiots whining about police brutality. BLM 3 years ago were all over them for shooting a guy who was shooting at them. When they showed them the video of the guy shooting at them, BLM literally said "you still shouldn't have shot him," meaning it's okay for criminals to shoot at the police but they cannot shoot back, that would be racist.

There are a lot of bad cops out there as we have seen the last two weeks but there are mostly good cops and it really sucks to be them right now.

40% of cops beat their wives, so the segment of cops that are good isn’t a huge majority.

Not surprising. Violent authoritarians are drawn to the job. The onus is on us as a society to screen them out, but if we did, we'd have to pay the smaller pool of candidates more money. We accept the status quo so that we can afford the latest iPhone 11 Pro. But hey, exercise some common sense and you won't get a beat down.

And despite making up only 13 percent of the population, blacks commit over 50 percent of the violent crime. That’s why I’m racist, most blacks just aren’t good people, no way to sugar coat it. These violent criminals deserve to get brained by a cops boot

Excellent derailing!

10/10

(Also, it’s not the percentage of violent crime overall, but the percentage of murderers who got caught. Try working on your reading skills next time, Führer.)

Damn I didn’t know that. So you’re telling me that there are more that aren’t caught? Fuck... number might be as high as 80% for all we know. So sad

40% huh? And you must have a link that shows us this proof. Surely you didn't just pull that number out of your ass.

So what’s the statistics for false reporting of domestic abuse by women?

[–]kissfan7 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

This is a survey, not based on women actually reporting DV to the authorities.

And some DV victims are in denial even to themselves. That should make up for any victim falsely claiming (for some reason) to be a victim.

Same as everywhere else I imagine.

They say whites are not doing enough to apologize for other whites. That's a big burden to place upon an entire class of complexion. But I don't think think police, and specifically police unions, are doing enough to self regulate. "A few bad apples" is tacit, "[we're OK with] a few bad apples". Besides, whites burned down a Wendy's, I think we're holding up our end of the bargain. I expect more from the ranks.

[–]DoctorsHateHim[S] 7 insightful - 5 fun7 insightful - 4 fun8 insightful - 5 fun -  (4 children)

Why do "whites" have to apologize for other "whites?" That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I've never done anything to anyone, have treated everyone the same and am not going to apologize for somethign I have zero do with, nor should anyone else. That's literally the same as assuming all blacks steal and commit crimes. Lumping everyone from one race into something, it's just dumb.

Im not saying that, but people like this are https://www.thedailyworld.com/opinion/dahleen-glanton-white-america-if-you-want-to-know-whos-responsible-for-racism-look-in-the-mirror/

It's not so much that you're obligated to cover for other white people, its just that if you say and do nothing, it comes across as though you don't give a shit. I for one, don't want my true feeling about it, that I do give a shit, to go misinterpreted.

[–]DoctorsHateHim[S] 5 insightful - 3 fun5 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 3 fun -  (0 children)

I do give a shit however I'm not going to protest or riot or block highways. There's plenty of people doing that.

Because someone isn't out there protesting doesn't mean they don't care. It's careless for people to make that claim.

There's no difference in that than saying "if you don't give money to BLM than you're a racist."

People can be on the right side and not go out and physically do anything or give money or do anything. I personally have never done anything to hurt anyone. I think being a good person in general is good. I don't need to block people from going to work on a highway to show my support.

At what point does it become OK to actually not give a shit about the endless train wreck that is the "black community"?? 60 frigging years of coddling, whites apologizing for their atrocious behavior, the percentages of crimes being committed by them going up and up and up year after year. They're doing this shit to themselves and it's on the back of whites to apologize for it?? Nah, not me.

I myself am having a hard time feeling sympathy. I don't think the guy deserved to die, but the problem is he resisted arrest and tried to take off. As much of a pain as it is, he could have just complied with the cops, and he'd likely still be alive if he did.

[–]HopeThatHalps 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah if you're black, of course there's some % that the cop will choke you to death just because, but it's a lot higher if you willfully resist. As an WPD enthusiast, I speak from a place of knowledge.
