No, I wouldn't. There is no evidence that the general public wearing masks, especially outside of all places, has any effect on the transmission of flu like diseases.

I had a good discussion about masks here:

In my country, there is high demand for the N95 surgical-grade mask. Surgeons wear these masks for good reason, so do you agree that wearing the N95 mask does reduce disease transmission (maybe not "flu-like" diseases)? If a surgical mask reduces disease transmission, is it reasonable to assume that it could possibly reduce virus transmission?

There is no evidence that the general public wearing masks, especially outside of all places, has any effect on the transmission of flu like diseases.

"There is no evidence that X" is not a valid argument to show that "X is not true." Also, would you agree that coughing on your hand then touching objects could increase transmission rates? If so, then would you agree that masks reduce the number of situations where children and adults alike cough on their hands?

Believe me, I am skeptical about how effective the masks are. But here, people were wearing masks before the pandemic. It must be a crazy coincidence the US has 30 times the number of deaths despite 1/6th the population (that or the numbers are fudged which I believe is true to some extent).

Surgeons wear these masks for good reason

If you're a surgeon then you are welcome to continue wearing masks during surgery.

Surgeons don't wear face masks to the grocery store, etc., Because there is no benefit, and there are tangible risks.

there is no benefit

Why would the mask suddenly cease to reduce disease transmission rates when worn in a grocery store?

These are numerous published papers over the recent decades that all concluded there's no statistically significant difference in reduction of flu transmission.
None.

All published without the interference of political interest.

These findings are now being conveniently ignored.

Recently produced papers have suggested that the masks do help, but they were all produced during a politically interested environment.

Politics corrupts science.

The realty is viruses do not travel through the air.

Bacteria infecting the lungs can be expelled from coughing.

Tuberculosis can be transmitted through coughing.

N95 masks are designed to prevent transmission of tuberculosis.

Masks do nothing for "viruses".

Oh, I definitely agree political interests are the biggest part of this.

The realty is viruses do not travel through the air.

Dubious claim if anything. Anything can be blown through the air. Notably, water. However, if you search around, it seems debated whether or not the coronavirus travels through air.

Have a nice day, Tom.

Dubious claim if anything. Anything can be blown through the air.

I will see your dubious claim assertion, and raise you.

There isn't a single published paper of an "infections virus" that involves a procedure where the "infections virus" has been independently isolated outside of the human body.
None.

The evidence for "infections viruses" existing outside of the human body simply doesn't exist.

Infact, the German Supreme Court ruled that the existence of the measles virus hasn't been established.

...even though the existence of the measles virus could be concluded from the summary of the six papers submitted by Dr. Bardens, none of the authors had conducted any controlled experiments in accordance with internationally defined rules and principles of good scientific practice (see also the method of “indirect evidence”). Professor Podbielski considers this lack of control experiments explicitly as a “methodological weakness” of these publications, which are after all the relevant studies on the subject (there are no other publications trying to attempt to prove the existence of the “measles virus”). Thus, at this point, a publication about the existence of the measles virus that stands the test of good science has yet to be delivered.

Interesting...

it seems debated whether or not the coronavirus travels through air.

I'm still waiting for the evidence that this "virus" (which was miraculously/impossibly discovered and Identified in mere weeks) has ever been isolated outside of the body.

The fundamentals of virus theory are dubious, at best.

The debates never discuss this inconvenient detail.

You got me. I am not a microbiologist, so I wish someone would show whether or not the virus can exist in an infectious state outside the human body.

If you're interested in looking into this topic, then search for "terrain theory" as opposed to the "virus theory" we're taught.

Terrain theory makes more sense in my opinion.
Especially, given the lack of actual evidence for so-called "viruses".

"There is no evidence that X" is not a valid argument to show that "X is not true."

There's no evidence that having a condom on while at the dinner party won't decrease the transmission of STDs even if you go home alone.

There's no shortage of N95 masks. Wear one if you like.

If you would like to know more about my position on masks, please reference the aforementioned link.
