eight repeat convictions for carrying a knife

Y'alls knife laws are dumb. Just like they say about gun control here, the criminals don't care about the laws and all it does is disarm law abiding citizens.

Not that a knife is a good self defense weapon, but it is a useful tool to have on one's person that is now only the domain of criminals and people who can prove they need it for a good reason -- not a great position to be guilty until you prove innocence. At least any knife with greater than a 3" blade and/or a locking mechanism and/or one that can be flipped open one handed. Which is to say, the more useful knives.

i think that many people overlook the fact that this law was specifically written as it is in order to produce a specific result.

a) you may not carry a knife.

b) muslims are allowed by religion to carry a knife or sword.

b) sikhs are allowed by their religion to carry a knife or dagger, etc.

poor musky is too drunk to ever catch any of this.
