California has a higher minimum wage compared to most of the nation at $15.50 per hour. Compare that with Arkansas at $11 per hour or Texas at $7.25 per hour (really???).
It looks like the people of California have a higher cost of living, but also have more income.
Gas price here in Arkansas was $3.09 the last time I looked.
