As always, when they show pics of how rich elegant people dressed in the past you have to remember that was only a tiny percentage of the popular. If you want a woman to act and dress like a delicate flower you need to provide the means for her to do that which means servants and lots of money. They people who raised those women's kids and mopped their floors did not dress or look like that. Those high maintenance women still exist if you want that and can afford it.
