I agree that legacy admissions should be chucked along with affirmative action admissions, but they're framing it around race. Take race out of it and just level the playing field. Unfortunately, that will not likely end it as I'm sure if people want their stupid, rich kids to go to Harvard, they'll pay the private prep schools they're sending them to to make sure they have the grades regardless of their actual abilities.
