How TiA Handles Harassment

Requirements from You

In order to assess that you've been harassed as a direct result of being featured on TumblrInAction, please send us a modmail message with the following:

  • Details of the incident, such as when you started receiving these messages, any names attached to them, the frequency of the messages, etc.
  • Proof that you have been harassed, which may include screenshots of hateful messages, reblogs of posts, etc. (REQUIRED)
  • Information regarding suspicions of repeated harassing behavior, or anything else that can help us identify users violating the sub's rules.

We cannot respond to your claim until we have sufficient proof of hatemail/harassment being sent to you. This is why we require it for all claims. Of course, this isn't to say that we won't believe a claim until it's proven, this is just to ensure that we don't act in error in remedying the situation, and to prevent abuse of this system.

What We'll Do

After we have determined that your claim is valid, we will do one or more of the following:

  • Remove any posts that linked to your blog or incited the incident.
  • Ban any users we find to be sending these messages, in accordance with TiA's Rule 1.
  • Prevent your domain from being posted to TiA in the future (typically in events of repeated harassment and/or doxing).

We take these cases very seriously, and do not wish for any harassment to originate from TumblrInAction, which is why we act in such a manner. Offenders of Rule 1a are banned permanently, and without warning. Additionally, TiA bans individuals, not accounts, so anyone found evading this ban with a new account will also have these accounts banned.

Additional Resources

If you prefer to stay on the Tumblr side of things, please send a message to TheHat2 with any relevant information as to your issues with TumblrInAction.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns with how we handle abuse and harassment, please send us a modmail.
