Honestly, it's strange how this debate is crossing over into realms of "Who gives a fuck".

As long as they are paying for it, I don't care if an adult finds a surgeon who is willing to cut off both their arms and both their legs and swap their position - legs on the shoulders, arms on the hips. You go ahead and ruin your own life with your own money.

What I can't tolerate is someone telling me that this makes that person a whole new type of person and I'm required to now change how I address them, or that this surgery is needed to save their life and I'm required to pay for it, or that people with legarms are under-represented and we need to have laws to give them more jobs and 50% of roles in movies, TV shows and video games should now be reserved for them. Your want legarms? You do you. Good luck finding a decent shirt, but there's bound to be a bored tailor out there who'll take on the challenge for a few extra bucks. Just go mind your own business once you're done.

I said this at first and you're right, but it's a smaller issue where doctors are lying to patients, which is unfair

Yeah, that is a problem as well. Good point. It's easy to get my mind caught up in a "Live and let live, sink or swim" mentality and forget that there's also people out there taking advantage of the vulnerable who need mental floaties in the pool of life.
