Planet Fitness. The "gym" that hands out free pizza and punishes you for getting too fit.

I think it's actually a good idea to hand out pizza.

It motivates fatties to enter, and then the inertia is overcome and they can work out

What's the lore? I'm going to guess they kicked women out when they complained about an AGP in the changing room?

I don't know why it's so hard to just provide a private changing room for people who are not comfortable with using the changing room for their sex for whatever reason.

A trans-woman isn't comfortable in the men's room? Fine. The women aren't comfortable with them in the women's room? Fine. Use the private changing room. No problem. If they complain about it just insinuate less than noble intentions on why they are so insistent on changing with other people and seeing them naked. Most everyone would prefer the private room anyway.

It's more like due to laws requiring you to have handicap accessible facilities it's easier to just make those into a separate room and just let anyone who is handicapped mentally or otherwise use it.

I wouldn't go as so far to call transgenders mentally handicapped

I think the cost of installing a private changing room, plus the limited space that would be available in it and the difficulty of policing who was using it at what time is likely the reasons they don't do that.

I'm sure, when choices like this are made, they weigh it up and mistakenly come to the conclusion that anyone who complains about having a man in the women's room will be shouted down and cancelled by online hate mobs, which would have been the case just a few years ago. They think the cost of installing something specifically for mentally unwell people and the risk of insulting them by insinuating they aren't the sex they claim to be was too high, plus the press is usually on your side when you do something mad like this, so odds are they would come out smelling like roses.

It was always a money losing strategy, as sane people didn't want to put up with it and always quietly left, it's just that the online discourse now seems to have shifted to people leaving loudly and the media having trouble convincing people it's the opposite. At least, that's my thinking - they are expecting strong public support and the usual cheering of how brave this choice was, but finding that voice rather croaky and tired.

Honestly this is a big reason why I don't have a gym membership anymore.

How do these people somehow forget that they are supposed to be running a business? After the whole Bud Light fiasco, anyone at a company who promotes policies designed to pander to a tiny but vocal minority while at the same time alienating loyal, paying customers should be seen as someone trying to sabotage the business.

You can force woke garbage on your customers but you can’t stop them from voting with their feet and their wallets.

Is it this or gym thots? Because a lot of reporting shows that men are the ones skipping gyms not women.
